Galatians 4: 8-20; Paul's Concern for the Galatians

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Galatians were having some problems with staying true to the Gospel that had been preached to them by Paul. Like the Israelites, they began to follow other gods and celebrate other special days dedicated to those gods. Part of Paul's purpose in writing this letter is to get the people back on track, to get them to stop worshiping other gods. Again we find ourselves faced with the fact that 2000 years later Paul's letters still have meaning for us today. It seems that in today's world Jesus has taken a back seat. For some he is no longer the center, or even in the picture for that matter. In our own way we have set up gods (and goddesses) for ourselves and sometimes worship them more than we do our Lord Jesus Christ. As a world we need to get back on track and worship and serve Christ alone. We need to remember the good news of Jesus and follow only his message. God bless you,

Pastor Josh
