1 Samuel 4: 1-12; The Ark in Ashdod and Ekron

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

"When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the LORD!" There is something about God that people cannot help but worship. Dagon, a Philistine, fell down and worshiped the God before the Ark of the Covenant. He was a heathen, by Israelite standards, but there was something about God that made him fall down in worship. Even though he didn't recognize God, he still worshiped. We should worship with every fiber of our being. We, who know who God is and what God has done for us in our lives, have more than enough reason to worship him. We, who have experienced the love of God in our lives, have more than enough reasons to worship the Lord. On this day that the Lord has made, worship God for all he has done for you. God bless you,

Pastor Josh
