1 Samuel 15: 1-35; The Lord Rejects Saul as King

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

"But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD?" Saul got into trouble here because he started to follow his own path. He thought he was going to be doing the right thing, but God told him to do something else. The Lord delights in the obeying of his voice, Samuel tells us, something which Saul failed to do almost every time he did something. Listening for God's voice is sometimes hard. We sometimes think we can do things on our own, or figure stuff out by ourselves. But we need to remember that God is much more wise than we are. God knows what is best for us and make the best happen for us. Trust in him and listen to his voice. God bless you,
