1 Samuel 16: 1-14; Samuel Annoints David

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

God has an answer for everything, and I mean that in a good way. Samuel is worried, with good reason, about going to annoint a new king. Saul, had he found out what was happening, would have killed Samuel for this deed. But when Samuel asks God about it God says (paraphrasing), 'Don't worry about it, I've got you covered.' Remember, this is a very bad situation for Samuel to be in, but he receives the promise from God that God will be with him and help him through it. We all face dark and difficult times. We may not all face death like Samuel, but the journey of faith is full of holes and mountains that try to block our way. In those times we have the promise that God is with us. When we are faced with difficult times we have God on our side, and that will never fail us. God bless you,

Pastor Josh
