1 Samuel 10: 9-27; Saul Made King

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

"This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'I brought Israel up out of Egypt, and I delivered you from the power of Egypt and all the kingdoms that oppressed you.' But you have now rejected your God, who saves you out of all your calamities and distresses. And you have said, 'No, set a king over us.'" This is Israel's last chance to do the right thing. God says this through Samuel to try and change the people's minds about having a king. This just goes to show that God does not give up on his children. He keeps working and moving in our lives, even when we are not on his path. God knew how bad it would be for Israel to have a King, but he did not abandon them, nor did he stop trying to bring them back to him. No matter what we do God will never give up on us. He will always be there to try and get us back on track. God bless you,

Pastor Josh
