Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the eyes of Israel, God lived on the Ark of the Covenant. He sat, as we're told in this passage, between the cherubim located on the top of the Ark. God was, in the eyes of Israel, limited to this one place. One of the great things about Jesus is that he has made us see that God is everywhere. Jesus, in his ministry, has given us the comfort of knowing God is with us wherever we go or whatever we do. The Ark of the Covenant may be out there somewhere, but the Holy Spirit, or God's presence, is everywhere. God is not limited to one place, he everywhere. God bless you.
