Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let me begin by saying this (David handing people over to be killed) is not the way to handle a situation. That being said I think there is an important message in this story: it is never too late to make amends. It has been a while now since Saul has been killed and David been made king in his place. But David still rights a wrong that was committed by Saul. Sometimes we may think it's been too long to fix something that went wrong. It has never been too long, it is never too late. No matter how long it has been, if there is a wrong, go and reconcile yourself to your brother or sister in Christ. God bless you.
