Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is where things start to go wrong for David. Up to this point he has been gracious and kind; he has faithfully followed all the Lord has commanded him to do. But now David has forgotten himself. He has decided that he is above everything, even the will of God. This story, one which we all know so well, is a reminder that no matter how powerful or 'great' we become we are never so big that God's law does not apply to us. We are faithfully called to follow and worship God. And in that call there is also a call to holiness, a call we must follow if we are to call ourselves disciples. Remember always to follow God's will. No matter how good we think we are, we must always strive for the perfection into which Jesus calls us. God bles you.
