2 Samuel 5: 6-16; David Conquers Jerusalem

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

"And he became more and more powerful, because the LORD God Almighty was with him." Through David we can see that God can do amazing things no matter the circumstances. David was the youngest son of Jesse. To us today this may not mean much, but the youngest son often did not get treated very well in David's time. David was hunted by Saul, who had the backing of the Israel army. He should not have survived being hunted by Saul. David was the underdog, he should not have amounted to much. However, the Lord God Almighty was with him. And because God was with him he was able to great things. Never underestimate God and what he can do in the lives of those who love and serve him. God did great things for David, and he will do great things for us as well. God bless you.
