Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
We get the sense here that David's time is coming, that God is simply keeping David busy until his time comes to be king. David probably does not see it that way, but I think we can look at how David is coming and going and see that God is waiting for the right time. We are back to trust then. David needed to trust that God was going to make him king, that God was going to come through with his promises. We need to have that trust as well. Sometimes, like David, we are forced to wander about, not really knowing what is going to happen. In those times we need to trust that God is still with us, that he is guiding and directing our path; we need to trust that God is going to do something good in our lives. God's ways are not easy to understand, but we need to trust in him. God bless you.
