Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Following Jesus does not cost us anything, monetarily speaking. We do not have to pay Jesus to believing in him. We do not have to pay anything to attend church (that's right, offering IS voluntary). That does not mean following Jesus does not require sacrifice. We have to give up a lot to follow Jesus. We have to give up our claim to ourselves and recognize we are God's. We have to give up our dreams, hopes, desires, etc. and submit to God's will. We have to give up material possessions and trust in God's abiding care. Following Jesus is free, but there are sacrifices. Discipleship is not for the faint of heart. God bless you.
