Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Why are Moses and Elijah there with Jesus? What is the significance of these two heroes from the Old Testament? Moses' presence is meaningful because he delivered the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians. Jesus is going to deliver the world from sin. Elijah never died, but was instead swept into heaven in a fire-storm. Jesus is going to give the gift of eternal life to all who believe in his name. Jesus is going to bless us in the same way Moses and Elijah were blessings to those around them. Through Jesus we have been delivered. Through Jesus we have life eternal. God bless you.
