Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Things are going to get better. That is a big part of Jesus' message. Jesus does not ever say this life is going to be easy, that we are not going to have any trouble. Rather, Jesus promises the exact opposite, that life is going to be hard, and filled with suffering. What Jesus also promises, though, is the fact that life is going to get better. We may be suffering now, but someday we are going to receive perfect peace and joy. The blessings we find in this passage tell us that. We may be poor, hungry, and hated now, but someday we will receive the Kingdom of God, we will be satisfied, and we will have the final victory over the powers of evil. Life may be hard now, but someday we will be blessed. God bless you.
