Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
'Delivered' is a very important word here. That word, more often that not, perhaps makes us think of pizza. We order a pizza and thirty minutes later it is delivered. It is part of our plan to eat dinner. God has a very similar plan with Jesus, which is why Jesus uses the word 'delivered.' This is all part of God's plan. Jesus' death was not an accident, it was God's plan for our salvation. The word delivered lets us know that, as sad as it is, Jesus' death was part of God's plan, his plan for our salvation.
