Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
The nations conspire in vain, meaning they follow their own path. That path leads them nowhere. The only path that leads anywhere is God's path. We can come up with all sort of plans and scenarios for our lives, but ultimately, our plans come to nothing. God has plans for all of us. Our calling is to discern what those plans might be so we can stay on the path God has laid out for us. Along that path there will be many blessings, but off of it there is nothing but trouble and emptiness. "Blessed are those who take refuge in him." God bless you.
