Mark 15: 21-32; The Crucifixion

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Even now, the people still do not get it. Jesus has come to be the salvation of the world. For a long time now Jesus has been going through the cities and towns preaching and teaching, healing those who are sick, bringing people back into a right relationship with God. All of that has led Jesus here, to the cross, where he died for the forgiveness of sins. What do we see? We see people mocking Jesus, and expressing their unbelief in him. What will our confession be? Those around Jesus during this time 'confessed' him as an imposter and a fraud. What will we say of Jesus? Will we look at him as just some prophet who said some nice things? Or will we confess him, as Thomas says in John's gospel, 'my Lord and my God?' As we see Jesus on the cross we are faced with the question who is Jesus? Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. God bless you.
