Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Repentance = Salvation. We are not told too much about the sins Ninevah has committed, but we are led to understand that they are, to summarize, living outside of God's will. However, when they hear the message of Jonah, that they will be punished, they repent from their sin. Due to this repentance, God shows compassion to Ninevah and spares the city. This is the same offer God makes to us. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory. We have all lived outside of God's will. However, God makes us an offer: "Repent! Accept Jesus as personal Lord and Savior! Be obedient to me. If you do all of this everything will be forgiven." Repentance = Salvation. God bless you.
