Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pilate chooses to please the crowd, rather than do what is right. He forsakes Jesus in favor of political and popular gain. How many times have we done the same? None of us have handed Jesus over to be crucified, but there have been times when we have forsaken Jesus to win favor with the world and those around us. It is not always an easy thing to stand up for Jesus. Worldly favor is no small thing. But as we read this passage let us remember the love of Jesus, a love so strong he was willing to go to the cross to give us life. Remember that love, and let us all remember to show Jesus the same love. God bless you.
