Mark 14: 43-52; Jesus Arrested

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sometimes we just have to accept what is happening to us. Jesus probably could have escaped this situation. He had twelve men with him, and maybe a few other stragglers, who all would have been willing to fight for Jesus' release. As Jesus says in other gospels, he could have called down angels from heaven to whisk him away somewhere safe. Instead, though, we find Jesus accepting this course of events. At times we are allowed, even encouraged, to ask God what is going on and to see if he will change his mind. There are other times, though, when we need to simply accept what God is doing in our lives. This is not an easy thing to do. It requires faith on our part. We need to believe, always, that God loves us and always has our best interests at heart. Trust God and accept what he is doing in your life. God bless you.
