Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
The soldiers mock the crucified Christ, but we worship him. We praise this Christ he is being so mistreated. We worship because he did it all for our sake. There is a contrast. The Son of God is not supposed to be mocked, beaten, and crucified. And yet, he is. Jesus goes through all of this to make sure we are saved. So we worship him. With his crown of thorns, his purple robe, and a cross for his throne. We worship and praise Jesus because he did all of this, he endured all of this, to make sure we have life in us.
