Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Peter personifies the salvation we have all received through Christ. Here we find Peter, one of Jesus 12 disciples, and a member of Jesus' inner circle (with James and John) denying Jesus not once, not twice, but three times. Peter is told by Jesus that he will be the foundation of the church, but at this moment we find Peter saying, 'I don't know this man you're talking about.' However, in the end of the passage Peter leaves the courtyard and weeps bitterly, showing his repentance for the sin he has committed. Later we find Peter welcomed back by Christ as a member of the disciples. Peter sins. Peter repents. Peter is forgiven. God bless you.
