Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one." This is the phrase all the Israelites would say each and every day, and I think it is a helpful reminder. We are commanded, here, to love the LORD. Part of loving the LORD means we are to have nothing before God. That is to say, we are supposed to give nothing preference over God. We have many possessions, many of which are blessing given to us by God. However, we are supposed to love the LORD only, and serve him only. 'Hear, O Christians: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.' That is a phrase, I think, we need to say each and every day of our lives; a little reminder that we are to value and serve nothing more than God. God bless you.
