Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our giving should be based on what the Lord has given to us. God has taken care of everything for us, and we should give out of what we have in gratitude for what God has done. We do not give to the church because we have to do; we do not do it because it is what is expected of us; we do it because the Lord has given us so much and giving is a way for us to show how thankful we are. Israel is called to give a freewill offering, an offering based soley on their gratitude. Our offerings should be given in the same way: in remembrance of what God has done for us. God bless you.
