Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rebelling against the will of God is never a good thing. For one thing, when we disobey God we face the possibility of being punished. But we also have to deal with simply being unhappy. I think you will find that, no matter how hard it may be, follow God's plan for your life will bring you happiness and peace. At times following God's plan will lead us down a path that we may not want to be on. However, if we remain faithful; if we follow where God leads we will have a peace and joy that will completely fill our hearts. Follow the Lord, no matter where he leads. God bless you.
