Deuteronomy 4: 44-49; Introduction to the Law

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul tells us we are free from the Law, meaning we do not have to follow the Torah anymore. The purpose of the Torah was to provide salvation for the Israelites, but since Jesus has saved us from sin we no longer have to be constrained to the rigidness of the Law. However, we are still called to live a life worthy of our calling. We are called, by Jesus, to be a holy people. Even though we have been saved we are still supposed to live the kinds of lives God wants us to live, lives which revolve around holiness. Our holiness comes from our gratitude. We do not practice holiness because we have to, but because we want to; to please God, to thank God, to honor God. God bless you.
