Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the midst of this horrible story there is a little bit of grace. Lot was spared the fate of the rest of those in Sodom and Gomorrah. We read here that the Lord was merciful to Lot and his family. God has been merciful to us as well. Though we have sinned against God he has granted us forgiveness through his son Jesus Christ. We do not have to worry about being 'swept away' for we have been saved through the life and work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Thank God for his mercy to us. God bless you,
