It is so easy to get distracted. We often chastise our children for not paying attention to us when we are speaking to them, but then, as Christians, as God's children, we sometimes are guilty of the same thing. There we are following Jesus and everything is going quite well until something shiny comes along. This shiny thing, whatever it is, pulls us away from Jesus. We need to be strong, we need to be focused, to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus so that we do not get distracted, so that we do not get pulled away from him. When something shiny comes along, ignore it, and look all the more intently at Jesus. God bless you.
