Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Once again Ahab's disobedience catches up with him. Ahab continues to break God's will and God continues to punish. Though it is used many times in the Old Testament I do not like the word punish as it applies today. Using that word makes us think there is no love involved. God loves us, and in his love for us God will bring us back to the path of faith in whatever way he sees fit. This may not be pleasant for us, but it is ultimately for the best. We need to be obedient. We need to stay on the path God has laid out for us. Or, like Ahab, we may experience something we do not like. God bless you.
