Isaiah 48: 12-22; Israel Freed

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

"The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob." Israel is going to return to the Promised Land. They had been Exiled do to their own sin and now they are going to be freed from the Babylonians, returned the Land God had set aside for them. And with that promise from God comes relief and joy. Israel is going to be forgiven. We can, and should, feel that same sense of relief. We have been saved, just like Israel. Granted, we were never Exiled from the Promised Land, but we were faced with separation from God due to sin; we were faced with not being allowed to enter God's kingdom. We do not have to face those things anymore. Now, through Jesus, we have been saved from sin. We have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Like Israel did when the re-entered the Promised Land, we can breath a sigh of relief and then rejoice for the salvation that has been granted to us in Jesus. God bless you.
