Luke 4: 38-44; Jesus Heals Many

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

What are we supposed to think of all these healing miracles? Are we supposed to simply witness them (through reading) and have that be the end of it? No, we are supposed to respond in some way. One, we are supposed to lift up thanksgiving. As we see these poor souls healed we are to be reminded of God's power and love for them, as well as God's power and love for us. God heals us, he helps us. And for that we owe God thanks and praise. Two, we are supposed to be moved to do the same thing. We may not be able to lay our hands on someone and miraculously heal them, but we do have the power to care for those who are in need. We are not supposed to simply watch these stories. We are supposed to be moved in some way: moved towards praising God, and moved towards lending a hand ourselves. God bless you.
