Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
John is preparing the way for Jesus by trying to get the people to live a life of faith. That is going to be a huge aspect of Jesus ministry, and John is simply trying to lay the grundwork before Jesus gets there. We are John the Baptist. We have the promise from Jesus that someday he is going to come back. We do not know when that will be, but we do know we are supposed to prepare the way for him so the world is ready for him when he gets here. We do that by encouraging people to live a life of faith. We can live out our call to prepare the way by telling people about Jesus and inviting them to accept Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. 'Prepare the way of the Lord.' God bless you.
