Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
'For we are taking plans to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.' The way we live our lives matter very much. First of all, we are called to honor and glorify God, and one of the ways we do that is through holiness. But second of all, we are called to bring others to Christ. One of the ways in which we do that is through holiness. Jesus tells us we are to be a city on a hill, shining brightly so that others will see the light and be drawn to it, and so accept Jesus into their hearts. We need to make a good impression on those around us so that they will want to have the same kind of life we have, a life with Jesus. We need to do what is right so that the eyes of those around us will see how we live, how blessed we are, the joy we have in our hearts, etc. We need to live holy lives to be a light to those around us, that they, too, may turn to life in Jesus.
