Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is one proverb with which I do not agree. I do, however, believe it is up to the parents to teach children the way of life and, at times, discipline them, so I will focus on that. Children are born completely helpless. They do not know how to do much of anything. The parents are responsible for teaching the child how to live life, how to do certain things. With that in mind it is sometimes also up to the parent to correct behavior of the children. If we want the next generation to be a faithful generation then we need to take an active hand in that.
