James 2: 14-26; Faith and Deeds

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus healed people, he cared for the needy, he defended the helpless. Jesus spent a lot of time preaching about the kingdom of God and other things, but he spent just as much, if not more, time healing people and caring for those in need. Jesus did this to highlight what James is talking about, that faith is about going out and doing something. This is the most important lesson we can learn. Faith is not just about worship, though worship is good. Faith is about living out the Christian life, and we do that by doing what Christ did himself, caring for those in need. There is a lot of work for this church to do here in Mt. Lebanon. And as we go forth to serve the Lord, let us remember the example set by Christ, to live out our faith by caring for those who are in need. God bless you,

Pastor Josh
