Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is a catch. God promises Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and everyone on down the line that he will bless them. The catch is, though, that they have to obey the commands God has given. There can be no compromise as far as that goes. If Israel does not obey God will take away what he has given. The Old Covenant was to last forever, but did not because of Israel's sin. I sometimes wonder if we will face the same punishment. The sacrifice Christ made on the cross is eternal. However, we have been commanded to be obedient to Christ, to obey the commands he has given, to live a life of faith. What will happen if we (continue?) to not follow every letter of Christ's word?
