Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally there is peace in the kingdom. David never saw much peace. Israel fought many wars, and David had to deal with his sons trying to take the throne from him. David's life was difficult and filled with hardship, most of it of his own doing. Now, though, there is peace and quiet for King Solomon. Solomon has been blessed in a way we all have been blessed. God has brought all of us peace and comfort. Solomon is able to simply rest in God's presence, which is what we are able to do. We are blessed with the chance to be in God's presence, to rest there from the difficulties we face as we go through life. Enjoy that rest and be thankful for the peace God has brought you.
