2 Corinthians 7: 2-16; Paul's Joy

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul's joy is that the church in Corinth has repented. We may be able to assume from this passage that, at some point, the Corinthians were not living in accordance with the commands of the Lord. Now, however, they are living a holy and righteous life. Paul is sharing his joy, and pride, with the Corinthians, the joy he feels in his heart for how they are living. God is writing this letter to us. God is pleased with us just as Paul is pleased with the Corinthians. We please God, make him happy, through how we live our lives. Imagine the joy the Corinthians feel when they read this letter. How much greater is our joy knowing God is pleased with us. Our cup is, or should be, overflowing with joy, knowing God is pleased with us. God bless you.
