1 Corinthians 11: 17-34; The Lord's Supper

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

"Do this in remembrance of me." We are blessed with the opportunity to partake of communion each and every Sunday. We are blessed to be continually reminded of the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. When we take communion we are called to remembrance, we are supposed to take that time and remember what Jesus endured. Jesus endured the cross. He endured the humiliation and the shame, suffering a fate that was reserved for the very worst of criminals. He endured the mocks and the jeers from the soldiers and the crows. Jesus endured the physical pain, suffering a kind of pain most of us cannot imagine. Jesus endured having his hands, feet, and side pierced. We are supposed to remember these things when we take communion. We take that time to remember what Jesus endured for our sake, as well as the love he has for us. Jesus loves us enough to endure the cross and all of it's pain and shame. When you take communion remember to remember Jesus: his sacrifice and his love. God bless you.
