Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
God gave the Law and called the Prophets in order that the world may be saved from sin. God gave the Law to give the Israelites a way to achieve holiness, and so achieve salvation. God called the Prophets to get the Israelites back on track, that they might have salvation. Jesus came to fulfill the idea behind both of those acts. Through Jesus we have the salvation the world was supposed to receive through the Law and the Prophets. However, this does not free us from having to live a holy life. God still expects us to live a certain way. We are called to honor Jesus and give praise to God, and we do that by living a holy life. We have our salvation, but we need to remember that we are called to honor it. God bless you.
