Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
There isn't much to this passage, but I wanted to make sure we all looked at it because it highlights one very important thing: God has a plan. Ruth is David's great-grandmother. In other words, God already had it in his mind to use David for great things before he (David) was even born. This brief genealogy of David shows that God has a plan for us as individuals, and for the world. And that is an encouraging thought. God bless you.
