Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
When dealing with people, especially people who may be considered our enemies, mercy is always the best choice. Elisha, and the King of Israel, have a chance here to harm the Arameans. However, the choose the path of forgiveness. We should do the same thing. There are those in the world who would harm us. There me a time in life when we find ourselves in a position of power over those who would harm us. If and when that happens we should follow Elisha's example and show mercy rather than anger. "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." God bless you.
