Matthew 9: 35-38; The Workers Are Few

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Harvesting is hard work. Those corn fields we see now are just about ready to be worked. It takes a lot of people and work to do that. Jesus knows how hard this is. Getting people to believe in Jesus is not as easy as we might hope. Jesus recognizes the trouble we may run into when we are trying to win people for Jesus. We know the same thing. We know how hard it sometimes can be to share the good news with those around us. This means we have to work extra hard. We cannot give up thinking it is too hard, there are not enough people to help, etc. Spreading the gospel is hard work, but that just means we should be more diligent in our efforts. With half the workers and twice the work we should work four times as hard to bring people to a life of faith in Jesus Christ. God bless you.
