Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Ten Commandments, the entire Law, can be summed up in the two greatest commandments given by Jesus: "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus is not replacing the Ten Commandments when he says this. He is summarizing them for us. The first four commandments are about loving God, the last six are about loving our neighbor. The base idea of the commandments is to show love. Our lives should revolve around these two things: loving God and loving our neighbors. It is that simple. We are called, above all else, to show love. God bless you.
