Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
The first paragraph of this passage really says it all in giving us a 'list' of Israel's sins. In short, they turned from God, and because of that they were punished. We are spared from this type of fate. Yes, we all sin, but Jesus has saved us from sin. Jesus has taken the punishment that should have been ours. Jesus has died on the cross that we might have salvation in our lives. We do not need to fear punishment: Jesus has been punished for us. God bless you.
