Matthew 16: 21-28; Jesus Predicts His Death

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

God's will is not always easy. In fact, it almost never is. Jesus' disciples do not want him to go to Jerusalem. They know, and not just because Jesus tells them, what will happen if Jesus goes there. They do not want him to go, and they certainly do not want to follow him. The disciples' will is not in line with Jesus' will, but they follow him. No matter the difficulty they follow Jesus to Jerusalem. We are in the same boat sometimes. We do not always want to follow where God leads, but we must. Yes, it is hard, but we need to remember that God's will is perfect. Even though it may not seem like a good idea, we know that all things work for good for those that love God. Following God's will may not always be easy, but if we do blessings will be rained down upon us. God bless you.
