Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
To put it simply, not doing the will of God will cause trouble. I hesitate to say how much trouble, or what kind of trouble, but it is clear from this passage, as well as other passages in the Bible, that disobeying God's will brings trouble. The solution to this is love. The more we love God the more we will obey his will. We need not live out of fear, waiting for God to punish us. Rather, we should live in love, lovingly doing all God has called us to do as Christians. Our love for God should be our reason for following God's will. God bless you.
