Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
'A shoot will come up from the branch of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.' Isaiah is prophesying about 500 years or so before Jesus comes into the world. I mention to highlight the fact that God did not send Jesus into the world on a whim. No, God planned it from the very beginning. God planned ahead of time our salvation. Isaiah is looking ahead to that time, which lets us know it was not an accident or an afterthought, Jesus coming into the world. God had that plan in motion long before Jesus came into the world. And just as God had that plan in motion, he has another plan in motion for the world. God loves the world he has made, and has plans for the world he has made. We can rest knowing we are in good hands; God's hands; the hands of God who has a plan for us and the world. God bless you.
