Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah has a sort of 'back and forth' approach. At times Isaiah upbraids the Israelites for their sins, but at other times, as in this passage, he gives them hope. Isaiah shares with the Israelites in this passage that the mountain of God, the dwelling place of God, will be re-established. In other words, the punishment Israel is going to endure will not last forever. They will not be subject to eternal punishment. They will, someday, be delivered from that punishment. This is a reminder for us that we do not have to worry about punishment. We have all confessed Jesus, and have accepted the gifts he offers. Since we have done that we are saved; we are spared the punishment. Is not that a wonderful feeling. God bless you.
