Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
The name Ahab is synonymous with bad decisions. The King Ahab has shown, over the last few chapters that he follows only his own desires, caring nothing for the will of God. In Herman Melville's 'Moby Dick' Captain Ahab seeks vengeance on the whale who took his leg. Ahab will stop at nothing to get revenge, even though, in the end, it costs him his own life. We learn a lesson from both Ahabs. If we center our lives on Christ things will work out for the best. King Ahab is punished by God, Captain Ahab is killed. Neither man had a life of faith and because of that their lives fell apart. If we follow God, then our lives will be blessed. Plain and simple. God bless you.
