Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
'A house divided against itself cannot stand.' Those are words, from Jesus, Israel would have been blessed to hear. In this passage Israel is split into two factions, which is, simply put, a recipe for disaster. In this time it would have been in Israel's best interest to unite under one common person: God. Instead, though, Israel fought, and they continued to fight and sin until they lost the Promised Land. We should heed these words from Jesus: 'A house divided against itself cannot stand.' We do not always agree. For that matter, we do not always get along. But that does not mean we should forsake each other. Instead, we should work hard to continue to see each other through God's eyes, to love each other, to stand together as the body of Christ that we might continue to do the work of Christ.
